private and corporate

Traditionally, yoga was shared between one teacher and one student. Together, they would work towards the goal of increasing personal awareness and developing potential through self-study; the yoga teacher acting as a guide and mentor along this journey. Private yoga classes can take into consideration your personal fitness level, stress level, injuries and personal goals. Specialized instruction may include yoga for seniors, yoga for backs, restorative yoga, chair yoga, yin yoga, classical yoga, vinyasa yoga or others. Learning subtle alignment adjustments can help you create a strong foundation and understanding of yoga that will ultimately develop a stronger, safer yoga practice. Safely learn yoga with step-by-step guidance on yoga asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation.

Yoga is a scientific discipline of removing or eradicating stress and tension at its source.  All tension, both physical and mental, is stored somewhere in the body and true stress reduction is a matter of discovering how to release that tension on both levels.  Yoga programs directly addresses tension in both the body and the mind. Our classes remove stress from both sources since tension in one area has a direct effect on the other. The classes offer simple, safe, and practical techniques that quickly reduce tension and stress at any time and place, especially in the office.  Our classes provide you with the following:

  • Ways to identify stress signals and indicators
  • Posture improvement for tension management
  • Strength building for greater resistance to stress
  • Techniques for the workplace designed to alleviate tension before it builds into stress
  • Safe exercises (designed over 2,500 years ago) that bring more energy to the body
  • Breathing techniques that support healthy “Mood Management”

The average workweek is increasing from 40 to 50 hours, or more, per week. This means that the average employee is assuming more and more responsibilities and dealing with unprecedented challenges. All of this leads to an alarming amount of stress in our lives. Stress impacts our work environment by:

  • Reducing productivity and morale
  • Increasing injury and turnover
  • Raising benefits expenses

Yoga can help!

Unlike other exercise routines yoga is low impact, improves strength and flexibility, builds concentration, and reduces mental and physical stress and tension. In addition, yoga is known to eradicate fatigue and generate energy, all of which lead to increased productivity and morale. Yoga exercises are simple and can be modified for different skill levels and abilities – perfect for the office environment!

  1. Dear Trisha,

Dayna Stevens recommended that my husband and I contact you regarding setting up some yoga classes for us. We are new to yoga and we would appreciate a lesson, or more, for the 2 of us, just to get started before we join a larger group. We both experience tight body issues and we need to improve breathing techniques and reduce stress and maximize overall well-being. I see that you have a package for 1-3 people and that appeals to us. Can you please call us and let us know what is possible? Our home phone is 392-7535 and cell is 855-9905 (Sandra). Thank you and we look forward to our first session. Oh, just to let you know that Wayne is a Gibraltor Mine employee and he works 4 on, 4 off, so some flexibility in our yoga schedule would be ideal.

  2. I am in need of some private lessons with flexible days and times. Sept 9, I was rear ended at full highway speed. My car was totalled.
Trying to be at work everyday is extremely hard and taxing. I am going to RMT and Physio. Now I feel I could use more. If you are able to accommodate me, that would be great!
Feel free to call me at w 392-5833 or h 989-2247.
    Thanks, Trenisa
